crimson ocean girl
her hair’s as deep
crimson as her lips
now and i used
to wonder how deep
and malleable they
could be, unexplored
as our oceans, if only
i could say my ocean
if only i could know
how soft her skin her eyes
her voice could be shaped
by my hands but i’ve only held
her like water in my palms so
she’s dyed her hair a darker shade
as shaded as the ocean floor
